I was curious because guys typically use 15 X 8 ( I have even seen 16 X 8) three blades on that engine, but whatever works is what you should stick with.

+1. This has been my general experience as well. On my planes where a 1.60 was a bit lackluster, a modern 30cc gasser dramatically improved the airframe's performance.

Do you think it will gain 1,000 RPM in the air? That seems a bit high. I have used those props on my DLE 30s for a long time and haven't had any problems with over speeding the engine.
