side note:

if i were to buy a 9 channel rcvr how then would i program the aux3 channel (for retracts) to a switch?

help....see head banging wall now.....:(

I have an 8103a in heli mode , w/gy401 and an r790 rcvr...i'm building an airwolf with retracts but i can't seem to get the radio switches right..

I just want to be able to toggle the retracts...

i can't afford 150 bucks right now for a cage or i'd buy one..
i have an extended chassis and most don't fit anyway ,
and the exrtended...

another thought,(if you haven't done this much...)
be carefull not to make drastic undercuts/releafs in the mold if the mold itself isn't flexible.. you won't be able to remove the casted part from...

this hint might be a little late,
but try using the fibre material that comes in auto bondo/fiberglassing kits to build strength, then you wont have to fill the shell/mold completely.just 2 layers...

ya , i drive the carbon chassis one every chance i get! the all alum one i take it pretty easy on when i drive it..
no i don't jump curbs or bash it , but i always drive reasonably hard and fast ....

Pipes and power...

the tunepipe/header lengths in planes are very often modified, because you can change the torque/rpm curves significantly(and also detrimentally if shortened too much) .

if you've got a hobby shop near by, look for a used one... i've bought 2 tmaxx's, both were under 200 bucks used- one wouldn't start cause the previous owner didn't know how to put a new glow plug in...
