RE: Bixler v1.1 Thoughts

Bixler is a fantastic plane to learn with, very durable, forgiving, can be quick, and can handle the weight of a larger battery or camera making it great for long flights or recording video. As...

RE: Thoughts?

Texans in general are not easy to fly and add the hit or miss quality from banana hobby and you may have a stressful plane in your hands.

RE: HobbyKing

I have owned both, Bixler is barely slower but can carry extra weight (cam/fpv/bigger bats) and the axn is barely quicker more sport flying (can also glide). Both are very durable and my axn is what...

RE: Is Hobbyking foam low quality? 1000mm Corsair Electric

Actually hobbyking sells quality products. Problem is it takes some investigating on both the HK Reviews and RCGROUPs forums to find out if there are any issues with the model. There is certainly...

I want to try 3 blade prop. Am I getting the right size?

Hey guys I've been doing some research online about switching from 2 to 3 bladed props.

I hear the rule is to drop 1 size in diameter when you go 3 bladed prop but keep the pitch. And then I've...

RE: BEC 5amp enoguh for 6 servos

Not sure if the castle escs come with a switching bec, if so then it may work. Best thing to do is to test it and let us know.

RE: HK Orders

Glad things worked out. If you keep ordering with HK they will acknowledge your loyalty. I have read about previous HK buyers (with over 1k in spending) get a replacement plane sent to them with no...

Yea this is exactly what I do, on maidens I just take off and correct my settings then practice a few passes then practice landing and take offs.
I feel I need to be comfortable with landings and...

The right propeller, brushless motor size/kV/cels supported, and the right cel/capacity/weight battery can improve run significantly. Thing is with air planes i think the flying style is the biggest...

RE: i have officially crossed over

Yea I agree with Jose, I was into 1/5th scale Gas cars and 27cc 4 bolt gas engines... Nitro too and even a savage flux. Cars can be fun but air planes are much better. I love the switch and I'm not...

RE: P-40E Warhawk - Advice

Yea don't fly that plane... I learned the hard way because War birds fly different and are not as easy to land as a tri-cycle gear plane or even a top/high wing tail dragger.

Go to your local...

RE: Good Starter Plane

A pusher glider seems to be the best trainer imo. Pusher gliders take minimal damage on impacts and are very stable (good ones).
Landing a glider takes practice because they have so little drag...
