RE: sprint 2 sport

The OP is running in a brushed class so the brushless option remains irrelevant. I agree totally with the drag test though, that's the most probable cause (and something fitting a brushless system...

RE: sprint 2 sport

What kind of stuff you smoking? You see that's the problem with a lot of users like t9dragon. They just post useless drivvel to get their post count up and in the meantime the forum gets choked up...

RE: Caldera Steering woes

Yea thanks Buddy, you're right :) Once I sat down with him and started pulling it down we saw the [otherwise hidden] adjuster.

It may lack refinement but from the rookie-esque...

RE: caldera 10e

You could do as the Caldera 10 takes the 540 size motors. It would be cheaper to just buy the RTR Caldera and leave the Redcat Brushless setup in it.

RE: Redcat Racing Horrible Experience So Far

It sucks that the instructions were wrong/incorrect, but you are right in that no motor is going to run with 25% oil, everybody knows that (especially dirt bike riders LOL ;) ) but at least you're...

Caldera Steering woes

Hi guys.
Ok so a local indoor offroad club is opening and a few of my buddies are champing to get in on the action.
After some discussions I eventually steered them toward the Caldera SC 10E.

Can I swap out a filter

Hi guys.
You might remember that my P80 is in a car chassis.
Well, it runs well and I simply love the whole remote start aspect, far better than faffing around with scuba bottles as I did with...

RE: What happened to the MarJet ??

The jet fuel is kerosene with a special oil additive. Jet's are SUPER sensitive to impurities in the fuel, the jet nozzles in the flame chamber are tiny and blockages have a massive impact on the...

RE: What happened to the MarJet ??

I already use a UAT as can be seen in the pic below. The problem comes after the UAT though. Between it and the motor is one of the huge Jetcat filters. There is no way to purge them of air and I...

RE: What happened to the MarJet ??

I'll get some running and video of it as soon as I can find a place big enough Paul. I just feel sick when I think about it slamming into a lamp post in a car park or a curb on the road so I must...

RE: What happened to the MarJet ??

I know it's been a while, but a lot has happened with the Marjet in the meantime. As well as chassis modifications, the Sophia motor has been ditched in favour of a new JetCat P80. The Sophia was...

RE: p160 Kerostart flames on startup

Perhaps you could lower the pump voltage slightly although it isn't really a problem anyway according to the info offered in the thread P60 A Few Questions... HERE

Couple of questions - new P80

- Is it required that a new Turbine needs to be broken in ? Didn't know if the bearings needed gentle treatment for a tank or two before pushing it.

- I heard that Jet A1 fuel is already mixed...

RE: Smoker Setup

From the diagram the propane tank is clearly pressurising the smoke tank.
I'm not saying that it IS so, but the diagram is definately 100% saying that.

RE: Onboard propane tank orientation

This is an off-road car, but it will never see dirt. It's made for speed runs on smooth asphalt. The wheels are oversized units which will furth smooth the ride.
I do expect some issues with...

RE: Onboard propane tank orientation

Ah, so you mean vertcial or 'close to'. Gotcha... I've removed the tank for now and will use it externally for testing. Perhaps I'll have a re-shuffle in the future and attempt to get it back...

RE: Onboard propane tank orientation

Matt, with your reference to my manual being out of date, I downloaded the latest manual from your site and it also says that that onboard propane tank has an offset nipple [X(]

RE: Onboard propane tank orientation

I made the cable up Matt. It is a 6 cable pin-to-pin connection. That's ok right ?

I haven't run the motor up yet although I have applied power to the ECU & Radio during power testing. The ECU...
