the first thing i would check would be is if the grub screw on the drive cups were tight,& if they were i would probly guess it is the rear diff. how long have you had your s30?

ok, i will have a look, i dont think thats what it is, because i can take out the glow plug and look in the hole i can see the piston moving up and down, but at the small screw, that holds the clutch...
