As I recall Cox / Sanwa had three black wires...

As I recall Cox / Sanwa had three black wires with a white trace on the signal wire the opposite side is the positive.

Yes all the plugs are wired the same servos...

Yes all the plugs are wired the same servos battery. You can check this by the pins on the receiver one row is all the and the center row is all the same. Hope this helps.

Just one more thing to check that I would do. Check that the incidence of the wing and the stab are according to plan. I also have one of these that that is five or so years old and it still flies...

Well just to report back. I changed the motor checked the rest of the drive very smooth. Tried it again last night. It was no different. I finally changed the speed control and wallah no more...

I here a lot on here about adding castor to make sure you have enough castor oil in the fuel. But I don't remember where every body get the castor oil to add. Any help is welcome.

I would second the Herr Aqua star. It is very nice flying sea plane. I fly two of them. Liked the way it flew so well I bought a second one and put ailerons on it.

I solder my own together. The ones I currently use are 160 mil nmh cells that are 1/3 of AAA in size, very small. I also have some 240 mil that are 1/3 AA size. The 160 lasted good through 5 10 min...
