RE: weak parts? t-maxx 3.3

You can burn up a glow plug in one run if you are running way too lean. No I have never burned one up from just being upside down for too long but I suppose it's possible. They are kinda sensitive.

RE: weak parts? t-maxx 3.3

Suspension arms, suspension pins, spur gears, shock towers, and spare axles are good to have on hand. I boke so many suspension pins that I finally bought titanium replacement pins.</p>

RE: Savage X vs Revo 3.3 (2009 model)

I can't really say which is the better value for the money. I'm only attempting to give the advantages and disadvantages of both. Personally I feel the Revo is more for the nitro truck experienced...

RE: Savage X vs Revo 3.3 (2009 model)

That would be the Savage Xfor sure. Less parts breakage and the engine is easier to tune. Nitro motorscan be frustrating for a nubie until you get the hang of it. The stock Savage X motor is more...

RE: Savage X vs Revo 3.3 (2009 model)

I own both. I have a Revo 5908 3.3 model and two Savages, one is a X 4.1 and the other is a X 4.6. For just plain ole "bashing" and tearing up the place so to speak, the Savage is probably the way to...

RE: Revo suspension

Stiffer shock springs. Thicker than stock shock oil. Adjust the shocks themselves with the stiffness adjusters located on the shocks. Just a few things you could do.

RE: New Revo 3.3???

My understading is there is an old model 5309 which had reverse and an opti drive tranny but was on the shorter 2.5 frame. Then they came out with the 5308, the one I have, which was the newer...

RE: T-Maxx or Revo?

I have both trucks. And I like them both. But, if I were forced to pick one, I guess it would be the Revo. Its more adjustable. You can set it up as a racing truggy today and set it up as a high...

RE: Stuff to buy Revo 3.3

The Revos in my opin are great trucks out of the box. The only thing that I have done to mine that really didnt have to be done is replace the front skid plate with an aluminum one and replaced the...

RE: Which Monster Truck?? Savage-Revo-Tmaxx etc

Well, I own each of the trucks you mentioned. It sounds like to me that probably the best truck for you would be the Revo. Its suspension can be adjusted in so many ways. It can be set up with the...

RE: T-Maxx 3.3 Concern

Yes i guess that would be kinda hard. I was remembering my recent break in of a CEN GST truck. Their break in proceedure is 4 full tanks at idle only. That is what I was thinking when I said to use a...

RE: T-Maxx 3.3 Concern

How cold of weather are you planning running it in? Its not a good idea to run any nitro in real cold weather say 30 degrees or colder. As far as break in goes do you have a garage or some kind of...

RE: Just purchased my 1st MT.

I have both a couple traxxas T-Maxx's and a couple of Savages. I knowmy T-Maxx 3.3 isn't as tough as a Savage nor as heavy, but it will hold its own with my Savage 4.6 in a drag race or on a dirt...
