Futaba 8U repair question

I have a Futaba FP-T8uaf that has the LCD display going bad. Can the LCD be replaced in this model? The radio is otherwise perfect.

We have been flying the p51 trainer for a month now. My student liked the looks of the plane, saw the ads and bought it. I sure like the trainer cord supplied that adapts to a Futaba type radio...

I have found the Accu-Cycle battery charge lead wires to be too small and too long. This does not let the batteries to cycle down to the 1.1 volts per cell as specified. Make yourself much shorter...
