RE: Saito full throttle to idle lag

Try changing the throttle servo and/or the radio. Ed Cregger's earlier comments sound 'spot on' - it surely has to be something in the rc system other than the engine. Double check for air leaks in...

RE: Saito full throttle to idle lag

Is it a new Saito? If so, half a gallon of fuel may not be enough to fully run it in yet. May I suggest you have a look at an excellent Saito preparation site:-

RE: idle question on Satio 100 please

Lots of good advice for you in these answers, skrez.

Can I just add that it is usually better [in my own experience] to set the idle screw on a four-stroke to allow a good transition from low...

RE: "Window Cleaner" covering method

CB36
You'd cover it as normal, first of all - ie shrink the base colour [white is probably best] onto the fus and wing. The 'windex method' comes after that, with the fancy coloured pieces being...

RE: Proper 4 stroke tuning technique?

Safety hawk
You might want to look at this - it's about Saito but much of it is true for most 4 strokes. After reaching the page, click on 'starting' on the left hand side.

RE: OS 46 Engine Losing Power.

Hi Treacle
Don't know how used you are to setting up engines, but maybe you are running it too rich - although it could be a number of other things, too. Easiest way is to get someone experienced...

Fully understood, Ed. Wouldn't quarrel with you at all. I think we may come from different directions on this -and I'm not for a minute decrying your experience - just making a general point

RE: What makes some engines more expensive than others?

This kind of thread can [and sometimes does] go on-and-on. Those who support cheaper/Chinese and those who buy OS [or whatever] at higher prices. You won't end up with an answer that is definitive!...

RE: Gas engine starting

RE: Does anyone buy those cheap Ebay batts??

Batteries from eBay. You'll find people that support their use, and those that won't touch them. Me? I feel that using batteries which MAY be more prone to earlier failure [rather than those from...

RE: OS 70 Surpass II first impressions

I've got one of these OS 70's, as well, and find it to be excellent. On cold days [that's around the zero degrees C, here] the bottom end need richened just a little bit. Otherwise, it flies...

MinnFlyer - I hear that the Zenoah 20 is a great engine but it eats up battery power faster than anything else in the Zenoah range. Do you know if the manufacturer...

Yes, I agree there is a wide range of prices - however, doesn't this just reflect the wide range of quality that you see on Ebay - and also the quality of the sellers [ie look at the...

RE: Value of these Glow engines?

Why not search on Ebay for completed bargains, in each of the engines. That'll give you an idea of what buyers have paid recently

RE: RCV-120

Can't help you with suitability. However, there's a new RCV coming out soon - a 130 size and it's a 'cd' type, I think - might you want to consider this, as well/instead?
The website reference...

RE: My Irvine 53 won't run inverted :-(

There are Irvines that do not like being run upside down. I know this because I've owned three like this and come across others who have experienced it as well. Not all of them, but some....

RE: SIG Astro Hog

rkliemann
