RE: Spa3D Video.Have you seen this guy's!

Hey,
I have hundreds of these old SPAD videos on my HDD. If you can give me the file names of the lost videos I can put em online or make other arrangements to get a copy back to you.
Mike.

RE: Delta Wing TT 07

What about this one designed by Booger boy. There was a thread about it somewhere.

Think they had .15s on origionally but you could scale it down a bit.

RE: Debonair CG Question

I notice you have a wooden prop fitted. Try a plastic one. They are heavier - maybe heavy enough to move the weight forewards 1/4 inch or so and they are slightly more crash resistant. That plus an...

RE: cutting gutterpipe

I use a hack saw - metal cutting blade for large cuts. Would try band saw / scroll saw if I had one. A jig saw is even harder to keep straight and tends to jam. A bench saw smashes the gutter pipe...

RE: tt46bb lost muffler bolt

I don't have one of these motors but,
I think you have 4 options:

1) order the exact TT spare part online or through your local hobby shop.
Probably get a pair with exhaust gasket for about...

RE: mousse can muffler silicone coupler substitute?

Would a length of bicycle inner tube, from the wheel you got the pushrods from, work?

RE: SPAD ARFs for cheap!!!

Hey kramer,
Have you tried viewing your site on a PC that has a maximum resolution of 800 x 600? The actual content - information on the SPADS for sale has to be viewed in a tiny little letterbox...

RE: how do you clean your spad's?

All above work great for a daily cleaning but over a period of months a hard almost laqer like layer builds up and dirt and dust gets trapped on / under it. The only colour of coro I can get is white...

RE: Which prop for a PBF

WOW! wot an excellent video, how can anyone watch that and not want to go out and build a pbf? I've built 6 spads so far but not got round to a pbf think its gotta be next on the list. I think the...

RE: my first spa3d questions

I use 3/4" ply and have not had one break yet despite some full throttle spinner first 'landings'. Its probably overkill though I would think that if you laminated 2 pieces of 1/4" togeather with...

RE: GNAT QUESTION

Is the third channel (for the throttle) proportional or just on / off? If the latter then its only any good for gliding and electric flight.

RE: Spadet question??

Shawn,
If you are a beginner 1/2" each way should be fine to start although if you built it as a tail dragger you might want to up it towards 3/4" or 7/8" to give a little more ground control. Once...

RE: Free Coroplast?

Whilst $18-$20 isn't cheap its not so bad either. bear in mind that an 8 x 4 sheet is goina be enough to make 3 or 4 planes. Now, $5 per plane isn't so bad?

RE: 11 x 7 prop

Yes an 11 x 7 is way too much for an os 40 LA. It would be more suited to a 46 or even a 53 BB motor and will probably overheat the motor. Even with the bigger BB engine it is far from an ideal prop...

Waha! SPAD is good!

Anything with wings will glide, just some glide better than others. If you were to throw a QHOR or SPA3D (neither of which is known for its gliding ability) out a 12 story window it should glide at...

Waha! SPAD is good!

Looks tails heavy to me. Should fly better if you can move the flight battery forward an inch or 2.
Jeeeeeeeeeeees man you only just missed that expensive looking car. You were lucky this time!

Deb or DPS?

How about if you make another standard deb fuse to fit your dihedral deb wing. Then, when you are ready make a flat - no dihedral wing for the deb fuse - maybe 6" shorter if you want to. That'll give...

Cut holes on Corofuse to lighten?

With regards to doing this to a wing the general concencus seems to be that the small ammount of weight lost is not worth the loss of strength.
Try to figure out what area of coro you will be...
