I ran 3s on a Phoenix ST before a couple of years and the balls from the diffmelted and also destroyed the rest plastic gears inside the gearbox...They only perform well on touring cars but still...

Ball diffs are WAY more sensitive,require maintenance (much more frequently than gear diffs) and will not easily handle brushless power.On 2s maybe yes but on 3s no way.

Novak 4.5T 550 on 2s should be fine.I have one and always stays cool.(5000kV)

Check the clutch or the rest tranmission.

EDIT: It can be from the power that gets to the motor(it can also emit a sound except the shaft rotation.)

Dust can easily get inside your motor.... Use compressed air to clean the motor and the ball bearings and then lurbicate them with BB oil(very thin oil) You may use a ball bearing cleaner also -...

With 4 pole you won't only have higher torque,but also acooler motor ;).And you'll be able to gear higher(higher top speeds)

You can also convert a PC PSU.(like I did - 14A for my turnigy 200w,10A charger)

I said you shouldn't exceed voltage (more than 18V).You can use even a 20A PSU.I only talked about voltage(since MOSFETs and voltage regulators inside the charger have limits....)

Xerun.Forget ZTW.I have a 150A esc(hobbyking's esc - same as ZTW) and the sensored mode is the worst thing....Also sensorless cogs a lot.Nothing can be compared with the smoothness of xerun and ezrun...

I think you need to replace tha balls and the pressure rings or just reassemble the diff(maybe needs adjustment - also use the correct greases if you don't)
