From all the research I did before I bought my Heli, It all depends on what you wanna do and budget. I came from flying 3 ch. micro helis as well and even though I got a 400 size collective pitch...

I myself sorta went down the same path as you did. I started off with a 3 ch. Swift X toy heli...after a week of trying to chase my cats with it, I got bored. I then ordered an exceed Falcon 40 V2...
