I think an expert pilot is someone who has experience in flying several types and variations of aircraft and can safely operate them, but an expert pilot IMO is someone who is still willing to learn...

Don't worry about the G-10 not being strong enough, it is MORE than enough :D

I saw a guy with a 120" wingspan hellcat weighing 75 pounds using the same thickness G-10 for his aileron hinges.

I agree on the tailwheel but I like the sierra unit because on the full scale (P-51 for sure, not sure on the P-47) the tailwheel actually does retract forward, so I guess its just more of trying to...

On my sport planes, I have the elevator halves seperate, and I have 2 setups in 2 different airplanes. I have one setup with 2 servos hooked up, and the manuals method of 2 control rods held together...
