Put a load on the 5v line and this will bring up the 12v line, its explained further back in the thread

Can someone tell me what the stated capacity of a battery is refering to
for example in the case of nicad/nimh is the capacity from dead flat (0.0v) to fully charged
or
the amount of usable charge...

Could you not just adjust the delta-V cutoff mv to stop the false peak(if that is what it has) to make it put in the full charge, after all thats what the adjustment is for, no? I ask as i have 2...

the resisters will probably get hotter as that is how they are supposed to work, heat sink them well. A bulb will create less heat as it converts the energy absobed to light rather than direct heat...

plug a 12v tail light on the 5 volt rail and see what you get, upped mine from 12.15 to 12.47v even though i have resistences in aswell

I use an 8 cell holder to charge any number of batteries up to 8, make a short lead with croc clips and just bridge where needed( i have a 2 x row of 4 holder not the 4x rows of 2) makes things...

What i can't understand is why they can't invent an auto cutoff system(incorporated in the pack) that cuts the discharge ability once the low voltage is reached, it would be nice also make for safer...

You can get up to 3000mAh AA's and i have seen 1200 AAA nowadays but i think for your TV remote etc you would be better off with something like Eneloop (http://www.eneloop.info/), although up to now...

That won't help if the charger is not grounded like on a 2 lead 12v input, on one of these touch the supply unit like an atx power supply that is grounded

Hi All i'm new on here, i don't use RC any more but did at one time. Due to recomendations of a member here i bought the Accucell-6 for maintaining my nicd and nimh batteries that i use in my metal...
