Anyone know the servo channel setting for this if you're using a hitec eclipse 7 radio with a GMS receiver?

Thanks!

RE: No exhaust fuel line?

I have no idea. It's a pitts style muffler.

The engine has been out of production for almost 30 years. It's an old os max 61 vf-h.

I got the helicopter from my dad who got it from his...

RE: No exhaust fuel line?

Just wanted to post that I put the nipple on the opposite side of the muffler as the exhaust port and muffler output.

8-32 tap with a #29 drill bit.

Engine works MUCH better then it did...

os max 61 f help

I got this old os max engine with a gmp heli. I know nothing about it and I can find hardly any info on it.

I think it's a os max .61 v-fh from the company's website, but it's got just a 'v'...

RE: No exhaust fuel line?

Thanx for the reply.

Any idea where the best place to drill and tap on the muffler is? I'm assuming it needs to be close to the engine exhaust port.

I've read through and printed most of...

No exhaust fuel line?

I was given a mint condition GMP competitor recently.

It's got an os max 61 heli engine on it. No idea about the age.

I can't find the exhaust port on the muffler to plug in the fuel line...

Recommended blades for GMP competitor

My uncle acquired a complete GMP competitor in mint condition from somewhere and in turn gave it to me.
So, here I am knowing very little about rc helis in general, having only owned a couple of FP...

RE: Flaperons? Those keep your wings from getting tired, right?

I didn't notice that the solution got removed for replacing the word 'wimp'. I wasn't aware that was sometimes frowned on...
Anyways the solution was to primarily decrease the idle and secondly to...

Another prop question

Got a LEO .46 (think of it like an OS) with a 10x6 prop on it.
The engine loads down too quickly. There's no noticeable sound difference from ~70% throttle to full throttle.
Increase the pitch?

RE: Flaperons? Those keep your wings from getting tired, right?

Everyone seems to be missing that the solution to the problem has already been found and flaperons was not it.
I don't have a good video recorder anyways.

P.S. the plane weights an amazing 5.7...

RE: What Next

Get a plane with low wing load until you get better at flying. The lower the wing load and the bigger the wing (wingspan and thickness), the better.

RCKen: still a bit off. Your post isn't worth a reply beyond this sentence...
I used to try to use the tail wheel to try to slow the plane until I accidentally popped the plane up cuz my speed was...

RE: Flaperons? Those keep your wings from getting tired, right?

superflea, I know. That's my problem. I want the plane to fly as fast as she can, but was hoping to use flaperons to increase the lift and thus allow a reduction of speed. I guess a solution would...

RE: Flaperons? Those keep your wings from getting tired, right?

I'm not sure how I did either.
I just ran the calculations again and came up with 23.
I must have hit a wrong button.

RE: Trying to land in a small area..any help?

Montaque: you're right. I misread it.
It does read: At all flying sites a line must be established, in front of which all flying takes place. Only personnel associated with flying the model...

RE: Trying to land in a small area..any help?

I hate flying at the local flying field as well. My problem is all the #$*&! *****s that are in the club.
Well, if your not going to fly at a AMA designated flying field, there's no point in...

RE: Darn weather !!!

We've had great flying weather for most of the weekends this year in Las Cruces, NM.
I think El Paso, TX has had the same.
Maybe the trick is to fly to where the weather is good. :)

RE: Flaperons? Those keep your wings from getting tired, right?

I have no idea where I came up with 244. That's what happens when you do this stuff at work and pay only half attention. [:-]
I thought I might be wrong which is why I asked.

RE: Importance of doing a proper pre-flight inspection

The only other thing I can think of is to check the programming.
I almost crash landed once cuz a flight mode switch accidently got flicked.

RE: Flaperons? Those keep your wings from getting tired, right?

Minn: I saw that about the CG, but didn't think anything of it cuz I didn't/don't think CG effects aerodynamics. I don't want to put a lower pitch prop cuz that would sacrifice speed. I want this...
