one thing to consider is that on all the old models with one piece wings, the area was figured including the fuselage covered center section.
i think speed is excluding that. if he adds that back in...

the plane looks to fly outside tighter than inside most of the manuevers look that way anyway. try shifting the handle if its adjustable or flap to elevator neutral...

thats what the plans i have show as well.
i'm sure joe did some trial and error to come up with this number.
we didn't have mixing radios back then and dihedral was one way to fix roll coupling....

I'd have to agree with that.
they used to look all streamlined
now they justlook like a carp that somebody tossed on the levee and left for a couple of days.
but they do fly nicely.

well their website is still up and the hobby shops still carry the props so JZ propeller apears to be still in business
I dont know anything about ZG propellers.

a zingali propeller is a "zinger"
it was known as a zingali way back in the 70's when Joe Zingali started the company.
you'l notice that most say JZ on the props. AKA Joe Zingali

i recently scratch built a pitts s1-11 super stinker its 86" span and da100 powered
it has 0-0 both wings and 1.5 degree positive stab (down elevator)
and has no down thrust and 1 degree right...

i talked to him a little over a year ago and he said that he had to quit driving due to vision problems and that he hadn't flown for the same reasons in quite a while.

well i just mounted the digital trims behind the cover plate the circuit boards can be tapped to 4-40 pretty easily.
i did two one was a futaba gold style and the other was a KRAFT series 75
both...

Macs products still sells wrap around headers for side engines i got one from them a year or so ago for my OS75ax. it fit real nice i dont remember the cost but it wasn't overboard.

i was not at this event but at the next one a month later the same thing was happening and there were people still flying while the drinks were being mixed...

it was done by better built models
i believe in camarillo

yesterday i maidened my scratch built 100cc pitts s11
at sccmas and it flew great
it is set up with 0 degrees on both wings and no down thrust and 3 degrees right and 1 degree positive...
