The rpm issue sounds like the battery has lost its punch. I have a bit of a wobble too which leads me to believe it is normal. You can always check the main shaft and the flybar.

I would rebuild using some plans.. I dont think the design of that boat would work very well.

This one I based off a jae .12. I'll probably start picking up the hardware and make it a nitro, and start from scratch for a brushless one.
