RE: WACO YMF

Thanks Mitch, I've been looking for one of these for well over a year now. Glad you finally got enough orders to make it worthwhile.

RE: WACO YMF

As Bill said, the cline regulator works. I use it because I have the same issue with the tank position due to the inverted engine. I also use a driver which also helps with the inverted issue.

RE: WACO YMF

Anyone have any idea how the FAA intends to regulate our hobby?

Hey Mitch, are we any closer to getting the required amount of orders for the waco brotherhood t-shirts?

RE: [Awaiting Approval]

I'm almost finished with the landing lights on the waco and I got some good ideas from previous posts, but I'm not quite sure what to do with the housing. Should I cover it with some reflective tape...

RE: [Awaiting Approval]

Any advice on what a good flying prop would be for a 1/5 scale pica waco with an OS 120 4 stroke?

RE: [Awaiting Approval]

Thanks for the info. and the pic. I'm building the newer version with the tank cover so I'll just do stitching and taping behind the tank. Since the pica kit doesn't have ribs in the center section,...

RE: [Awaiting Approval]

Hi all, I thought I was finished with the rib stitching and taping on my pica Waco, but while I was looking at one of the completed models on page 1, I noticed what I thought was stitching and taping...

RE: WACO YMF

Hi all. I'm heavily into the rib stitching and taping on the pica waco at the moment. It's more time consuming than I thought. I'm having trouble finding a close-up of the detail. Do the tail surfaces...

RE: WACO YMF

Well, I've been wrestling with the N-struts on the 1/5 scale pica and I don't think the kit's design is yery good. After coming apart on me several times, I finally doweled them together where they...

RE: WACO YMF

Thanks John. I think I'll go with your method. The sheeting doesn't look very realistic.

RE: WACO YMF

Hi all, I have a question about the ABS gas tank sheeting in the pica kit. Is the edge raised slightly or does it get sanded off so the sheeting lays flat on the center section. Also, does this...

RE: WACO YMF

Thanks,John. I guess I made F-45 a little too wide because it only matches the rudder thickness at the very edge. Forward of that, it is wider than V-4. Maybe I can make another fairing between the...

RE: WACO YMF

On the Pica Waco, where the fuselage meets the trailing edge of the vertical stab, there seems to be a big step. What's the best way to make this a little bit more scale looking? The full size doesn't...

RE: WACO YMF

I contacted Texasskypilot and he e-mailed me back saying that he had none left. So if anyone wants one, sound off so we can guarantee the minimum order of 75.

RE: WACO YMF

Thanks John, that makes sense, but it doesn't answer my question. Can I live with this or do I need to do surgery to my connecting rods and my ailerons?

RE: WACO YMF

Well, I finally got the ailerons temporarily hooked up (Pica 1/5) and was trying to set up the throws when I noticed that the upper ailerons had quite a bit more deflection ( almost double at full...

RE: WACO YMF

Thanks Anthony, I'm using the Stits Lite system for my covering and they have have pinked tapes made out of the same material so I guess I'll use them.
