After a long wait I finally got a chance to fly...

After a long wait I finally got a chance to fly the Pawnee using the Evolution 10cc. I used a 13x6 for the first flight. RPM was around 6000 with this prop.
The plane flew but was very mushy...

I see what your getting at. I had a heck of a time trying decide where to mount the Ignition but being that the Spark wire is only so long I ended up mounting it under the fuel tank....

I don't see why not. As long as you keep the tank at the right height in line with the carb. Why do you need to move it that far back though?

The folks I deal with have the ring but I was not sure what I wanted to do as far as the exhaust goes at the time.

Post a few pictures of your build showing the placement of the firewall.
Personally I think a drive unit on the topfite kit is overkill. I could see using one on a much larger model.

I would suggest sticking with a current engine. What may seem like a good deal now could lead to nothing but headaches down the road.
The saito 450's that I have seen in a couple Corsairs work great...

I don't know if anyone has them is stock yet but they will bring it in for you until such time that the stores recieve their orders.
I'm pretty dissapointed with this ARF and will continue to build...
