To help out with the screw holes in the cowl,  you can use some of those CA hinges on the inside of the cowl (CA'd in place) and pass the screw through it.  It wont stop your screw from backing out...

Good to here everything is holding up.  I picked up some 2/56 cap head screws at the Toledo show earlier this year (just incase I ever needed them).  Looks like I will be using them on this...

I thought that stuff looked familiar.  I've used it to help seal any small gaps in my ductwork so that my furnace is a little more efficient.  I am getting my other odd projects finished up, so soon...

I am barely a heli novice, but, noone has addressed the issue of balancing the main blades.  When I was using wooden blades  I always had to balance them, that is why I switched to CF.
