Glow fuel tank mounting height

I am constructing a glow engine test stand and would like to know what the ideal mounting height of the tank would be? I've seen some differing opinions, from the OS manuals it says a point 5-10mm...

RE: Funtana x100 - too scared to fly! Advice please

That's not a bad idea! I considered asking someone to take her up for me, but I don't know any mode 2 flyers.

Can you buddy a mode 1 radio with a Spektrum mode 2 DX7?<br type="_moz" />

Funtana x100 - too scared to fly! Advice please

I have ClearView sim and have tried the Funtana 40 and some other Katana models, but I...

O.S. no. 6 plug too hot?

I ran in my ASP 52 with an O.S. 6 plug (happened to be lying around). I was since told that O.S. 6 plugs are too hot and I should use the no. 8 plug instead, which I did. Immediately, I noticed that...

RE: Centering aileron servos

That does look remarkably similar!

I've seen quite a few of these Eagles around in Cape Town, must be a local supplier selling them cheaply! Does not appear to be a well known plane elsewhere.

RE: Centering aileron servos

Aah, I see. So make sure the servo arm is centered, and use pushrod / clevis adjustments to center the aileron itself. Will try this tonight, thanks!

Here's the plane:

Centering aileron servos

I can't figure out how to mechanically center my aileron servos.

The servos are mounted inside the wing - mounted onto a square panel which screws into the wing, panels have slots in them for the...

RE: Just about had it with this ASP!

Under the cap inside the tank itself? Will glow fuel do anything to the silicone? Wouldn't want any kind of residue in the tank.

RE: Just about had it with this ASP!

Hi guys,

I've bought a new tank now and installed new fuel tubing. However, when I do a leak test under water, I see bubbles coming from the screw securing the plug (while blowing into the one...

RE: Did I just break my new engine?

Already a club member and have had lots of help.

No need to worry guys, I only run this motor with 15 m of empty space and a concrete wall in front of it, I'm generally very safe.

RE: Did I just break my new engine?

I'm using the nut that came with the engine. I'm tightening about as much as I can using pliers and there is enough thread. When I'm done, the prop is very secure. Does it matter which way around the...

RE: Just about had it with this ASP!

Where do you get the paper / teflon gaskets? Is this something I'd find at an auto parts shop? Thanks.

Thanks for the comprehensive reply, some questions:

How do you use multiple screws to secure the 2 halves of the muffler? Mine doesn't overlap, they just fit into each other (with an O-ring)

I...

I had a prop spin loose on me last night (on a different engine) so applied it to the new one, don't want to take any chances. Maybe I'm fitting the screw wrong, is that even possible?

Thanks for all the replies, helping a lot!

Do you mean on the outside or inside of the tank? I didn't actually assemble this tank, so I just assumed the clunk and inside was factory fitted. Is...

Did I just break my new engine?

Started out by removing the glow plug (OS no. 8) and dripping some...
