I have the Dave Platt select scale 64" wing span that should weigh 10-13 lbs when finished. I think the pica version comes in at 23-26 lbs.

Does the cost outway the cost of replacing the whole plane if in flight failure. I would guess in saying the noise comes at top dead position of the piston when rod goes from push to pull. Same noise...

Joe AP thanks. I'm putting my first gas engine. Electric was my choice in the past. My question is how far can tank be from carb? I have a great spot to install a larger tank but it is 8" from carb....

I'm not a real experienced builder, but I had a similar problem. I put eflight .10 on parkflyer cessna skylane 180. The motor stuck out too far to get cowl on. the mount to motor to firewall is wood....
