Had a bearing failure and the connecting rod scratched the crankcase pretty good. How critical is the area where the connecting rod rides in the the bottom of the crankcase? Can it be rubbed or...

Replaced plug with NGK CM-6, 1/4 turn rich on the high needle. Working perfect....thanks!!
