RE: Prop size 55ax

I use a 12x6 wood Xoar on my 55ax in an Extra 300. I tried the 13x4 but liked the 12x6 better.

Not their intended market.

RE: Nexstar ARF Trainer configuration

Put on the droops, leave off the speed brakes

This is how my Nexstar flew best.

RE: Application of Monokote on foamie

Could you sheet the foam with balsa first and then cover it?

I think most normal covering takes too much heat and the foam will melt.

RE: Sig Mfg

I placed an order from their web site a couple weeks ago and had the products on my door step in about 3 days. I'd say things are turning around nicely for them.

RE: Great Planes Big Stick 40 for trainer?

I think my Big Stik is easier to fly then my Nexstar. I think you should go for it. If you are learning on your own just take it easy until you are used to it. Either way they are easy to fix.

RE: New Radio

I have a 6EX and 8FG and love them both. The 6EX servered me very well until I got more then 6 planes and then I bought the 8FG. Now I use the 8FG on my big planes and the 6EX on my foamies.

RE: all about Sig mfg

I ordered a replacement canopy and Mini Field Boss flightbox from Sig a couple months ago. Had it at my door 3 days later. It would appear to me that Sig is alive and well.

RE: Want to try Gas, request your opinions

I'm getting ready to build my first gas plane. I'm going with the 71" 3DHS AJ Slick. You mentioned you are not into 3D so that may not interest you but it uses the DLE 30 engine also. I'm really...

RE: Generic Futaba 2.4 ghz Reciever

Unless you are building 8 channel foamies I would suggest just going with Futaba recievers.

RE: COOL POWER OR OMEGA

I use both Cool Power and Omega fuel so I figure I am getting the best of both worlds. When I buy fuel, I buy Cool Power but I win Omega fuel at my club meeting raffles all the time. So I kind of...

RE: Futaba 7C: servo question

How about a 3115? It is slightly bigger then a 3114 but no where near standard servo size. You can get the dimensions off towerhobbies.com.

RE: Pulled a noob move today

I did that at the flying field one day in front of everyone. I felt like such a tool. I took out the glow plug and then hit the engine with my electric starter. Man fuel went everywhere!

RE: WHAT HAPPENED TO 12 MINUTE EPOXY????

Just let your 30 minute epoxy sit for 15 minutes after you mix it but before you use it.
