RE: Sim to suit my needs?

Yeah it seems like it's between realflight and pheonix. I've seen clearview, but I'm not sure it's what I'm looking for. Do you (or anyone else) know if, when using the DX5i if I can plug my Futaba...

Sim to suit my needs?

Hey all,

I almost hate to post this, this forum is filled with "What's the best RC Flight Sim". That is, however, not what I'm asking and unfortunately, I wasn't able to find an answer in...

Hey all,

So I am about ready to move on from my Tucano .40, not sure on what model yet but I definitely want a four stroke and I think I want something in the .60 range. I noticed that I can pick...

RE: Nexstar to....?

Just a quick update, I came off the nexstar and now have just over two dozen flights on my Tucano, I've been having fun ripping it up with stall turns, snap rolls, etc.

The only thing is, those...

RE: Is Electric Smoke Possible

There are smoke mufflers for small engines (.40 and under) that don't produce enough heat to make good amounts of smoke, I see no reason why a smoke muffler couldn't still be used in this situation. ...

RE: Well there goes an $8 glow plug...

Today we tweaked the low end alot, went through a tank and a half of fuel tweaking and finally got somewhere a little better, now it runs just as good as it did with the Type F plug using just my fox...

RE: Well there goes an $8 glow plug...

Lnewqban,

Thanks for the reading,  yeah that makes more sense, slow the plane down not the engine.  I'll try it!

It is well filtered, Filtered clunk - pump - Filter - Fuel Tank - Filter - Carb (the path from fuel jug to carb, filtered three times).

I also use the fox standard w/ idle bar and it...

RE: Well there goes an $8 glow plug...

Thanks for the responses:

Yes I have had club help with this and tuning the engine (again: the suggestion was use a type F plug), I've also been doing this for two years (no, that's by far not all...

RE: Well there goes an $8 glow plug...

Thanks for the tips guys,

I might try that fox miracle plug, and as far as the glow driver, I only use the manual dial one to see if a failing plug is really failing, I NEVER use it on a...

Well there goes an $8 glow plug...

Hey all,

So I have a "finnicky" OS .46FX on my Pheonix Tucano (and yes, it is underpowered, but it flies, lol). The main issue stems from the location of the fuel tank and the engine, trying to...

RE: Horizon Hobbies Spectrum DX6I Malfunction that destroyed my aircraft

Just because it's in the dictionary, doesn't mean it's proper english, Ain't, along with a variety of vulgarities are also in the Dictionary, along with other 20th century dialect which is no longer...

RE: People on craigslist make me LOL

RE: People on craigslist make me LOL

@Scale, did you read this?  The prices are HIGH, not LOW, in other words, these people got it as a gift or bought it recently (it's...

RE: Horizon Hobbies Spectrum DX6I Malfunction that destroyed my aircraft

Hey buddy,

Did you have the antenna oriented correctly?  You know, the signal comes out the SIDES of a 2.4GHz transmitter antenna, since both times the crash occurred while low to the ground, if...

RE: People on craigslist make me LOL

Absolutely, and there are worse ones, and good ones,  I think I saw an Edge 540 once for $1000 without servos or receiver, and it was glow powered, I wonder if the majority of these people don't know...

RE: Anyone else think they should bring back retro-radios?

No, no, I'm saying that a computer radio with manual trims are the "best of both world" No I don't need to re-trim it every flight but if I DO need to adjust it, even just on the maiden, I prefer the...

RE: People on craigslist make me LOL

Yeah I know people get the gas/glow confused, not saying anything against those people, they just tend to get my hopes up occasionally haha!

But my point remains, overpriced new doesn't constitute...

RE: People on craigslist make me LOL

Someone probably told him when he got into the hobby that it takes $500 to start, which is a decent ballpark I guess, even though he's got $300 worth of stuff (maybe less) NEW, that someone might...

People on craigslist make me LOL

Do people not realized that used items aren't as valuable as new items? Right now on craigslist you can get a Hobbico Superstar 40, complete with duct-taped left wing, for $500, but wait! it INCLUDES...

RE: Anyone else think they should bring back retro-radios?

Actually you don't, the T6XA/S has trim memory, once it's trimmed out you save the trim positions, then center the trim levers, as long as they are centered, you can pick whatever model the the...
