I'm about ready to delete my account too. This is annoying and has been going on since the second week of August.

RE: TOP 10 reasons/excuses you crashed

"Wow! I'm glad that wasn't my plane. Uhhh... oh."

The ground obviously experienced a sudden change in elevation.

There was a short between the transmitter and the ground.

The Sun was...

RE: Full scale heli; more money than brains (Crash Video)

Yeah, he clipped the big rig first. What a douchebag! Probably a case of tunnel-mind just trying to get out of there and not taking the time to ask the trucks to move over some more. Hopefully he...

RE: OS LA 40 Plane?

I put this motor on a Thunder Tiger Lazy Tiger P-51. The plane calls for a .25 but the lite .40LA works great with it. It's a fun flier and can really turn quickly. Two-wheel touch-n-goes are a...

RE: camera on wingo crash

I think the SoarStar (a Wingo clone) is still available. I see it over at ehobbies.com. The SoarStar is basically the same as the Wingo, and I've heard it comes with a better engine/gear setup.

RE: RC Airshow Midair - Biplane vs. GeeBee

Yeah, the GeeBee had some tail damage and was a handfull coming in, plus I think it was deadstick. Those things don't glide so well when all is well so I don't think there was much the GeeBee pilot...

RE: RC Airshow Midair - Biplane vs. GeeBee

Gee, thanks for the nice compliment Lyle! And tsands too. That was me and my Canon Optura Xi doing the videotaping. I'm glad you liked it. Gives me inspiration to do some more! Like the old...

RC Airshow Midair - Biplane vs. GeeBee (video)

Occurred at the SCCMAS airshow, July 2005. I initially followed the smokey bit thinking it was an RC skydiver since that biplane has been used as a drop plane before. Turns out it dropped something...

RE: 20 feet Cessna Caravan Destroyed. Video

Whatever it was, it's a shame it went in. That thing was built with a capital B. Even with so much power and being yanked around severely in it's death throws, she still held together until...

RE: Cermark Batteries

Just a guess, but sometimes zip-ties can be more harm than good if pulled to tight. They can crush wires and wear away the insulation enough so that a short develops during manuevers, expecially...

RE: Whats wrong Ultra-Stick? Vulture got your nose?

To me, the most disturbing thing about this post is that you DIDN'T BUILD FLAPS INTO YOUR ULTRASTICK!!!

With them, you can set it up for "Crow", so you can always be reminded about your...

RE: Super Sportster 40 MkII ARF - Suggestions?

As with any ARF wings to be joined, make sure to sand off the glaze (if there is any) on the inner ribs to give the epoxy something to hold onto. I also use a GP Woodpecker to put some tiny little...

RE: Super Sportster 40 MkII ARF - Suggestions?

The screws on the Dubro are hex-heads and go into lock-nuts which are seated in the baseplate of the spinner. The stock spinner has cheap, easy-to-strip self-tapping Phillips-head screws that just...

RE: Super Sportster 40 MkII ARF - Suggestions?

Along AutoGuns' point - Take a look at the spinner before you mount the engine and decide if you want to use that one or not. The stock spinner is kind of cheap and has a shallow backplate. I...

RE: Lazy Tiger P-51 ? Engine Rec./ Servo Rec. / Grass Landing?

I'm using a 10x5 prop on my LT P-51's OS 40LA. I've tried the 10x6, but it seemed to bog down just a bit. Funny, as a 10x6 pulls the 40LA on my Avistar just fine.

RE: Lazy Tiger P-51 ? Engine Rec./ Servo Rec. / Grass Landing?

It's a piece o' cake to land and will do two wheel rollouts for as long as you want (with a little throttle management). I have yet to nose it over - the closest I ever came was one time I nicked...

RE: Crash victim in need of help

My nephew and I crashed his 4*60 a few months ago, but the wing was damaged pretty good (pulled ribs out at root, plus significant damage to both leading edges, several ribs, etc...) so I don't...

RE: Full Power Profile Crash!

Hehe. That's the idea and a good start, but other than the engine mount breaking, no major carnage. I'm talking 'spray of balsa' type cartwheeling. :D

Keep trying though, you guys are on the...

RE: Full Power Profile Crash!

Vert - Thanks for sharing the video with us and putting up with the ridicule.

Do you take requests? The next plane you decide to "retire", try a full throttle knife edge down the runway and...
