I just got a Hyperion 3s lipo and I love it so far. The thing screams in my slash 4x4 and its pretty good price for about 95$ on ebay.

The biggest you can go with the stock system is a 3s lipo.... 1/8 scale tires and wheel adapters are probably one of the best modds you can do, but its not very cheap.

I would'nt automatically decide to get a castle because of the votes. Because alot more people have them opppsed to the other motors.

See my friend has a mamba in his 4x4 and he breaks axles every time he runs it. But he is going to get the Tekin so I will see how he likes it then decide. He even broke the steel MIP axles.

I would go with the carbon fiber. Strong with a bit of flexibility, seems it would be the way to go.
