RE: TF FW190 GIANT ARF

Not truly historically accurate, but I decided on doing it AFTER I glued the rudder on, so I went with a slight variation. I'm happy with it, more work to do yet, and then there is this darn white...

RE: TF FW190 GIANT ARF

Thank you guys for the info, I think that was about the same % amount that I used on my older (smaller) FW.

Pettit - Curious to know what type of elevator throws you ended up with. Just looking at...

RE: TF FW190 GIANT ARF

Question for those have that flown her, how did you like the posted CG, and did you find the need to mix any elevator with flap deployment? I had a smaller FW that would balloon quite a bit with the...

RE: Hangar 9 30cc P-47 Build Thread

So two questions for those out there willing to offer opinions, one is the most common, engine.

I see that there are a couple of 55's and 50's out there but I was thinking of the OS GT-33. Any...

RE: TF FW190 A3 ARF

I have a smaller FW and mixed about 10% down elevator with flap deployment due to the pitching moment caused by the split flaps, wonder if this big bird will do the same thing.....<div>...

RE: TF FW190 A3 ARF

Ran in to the first little snag. got to installing the Robart tailwheel and it would not fit. Double checked to make sure Ihad the right one (I did, #160) but it was just a bit tight. Had to cut back...

RE: TF FW190 A3 ARF

Well I have it, and she is BIG. The wing is done, and I went with the robart electric retracts (http://www.rcuniverse.com/buynow/keywordclick.cfm?bid_id=7530), which I like, but I may have the wheels...

RE: Top Flite Giant FW-190?

Well Ihave it, and she is BIG. I was waiting to see if someone was going to start a build log, but I guess not. I could post some pics, but the wing is done, and I went with the robart electric...

RE: KMP Corsair

Hi Gents,

I have had couple of folks who have this corsair recommend a dle-20, I was going to go with a 30 but I think that would be better suited for the P-39 I just got. Anyone who has flown the...

RE: Hangar 9 30cc P-47 Build Thread

I went back to the LHS, and I was mistaken on the size of the motor, but will confirm what njmheli reported, the box clearly lists on the side (3) options, to include the FG-30. The manual does not...

RE: Hangar 9 30cc P-47 Build Thread

Mr Redman,<div></div><div>I was in the LHS yesterday and looked at the p-47 up close, very nice. The box and manual included talked about a saito four stroke set up, specifically the fg-20. I love...

RE: World models 80 inch p51 engine advice

I have been lax in posting, life got away from me and I have been flying other models. Quite frankly I am a little nervous about flying such a beautiful bird. Anyway I got her all set up tonight and...

RE: New Top Flite P-40 60 sized arf

Looking at that picture it appears that the cowl was cut to fit the standard DLE-20 muffler. With the new JTEC slimline inverted pitts it appears that you would not have to cut the cowl. Anyone had a...

RE: World models 80 inch p51 engine advice

Yes, I have. Two things on the retract system. One the picture of the parts list shows the old style placement for the retract servo, which was near the wing root, and covered by the fuse when...

RE: World models 80 inch p51 engine advice

Hi All, have the Miss America version of the GS and the DLE-30. Couple of questions for those that have been there. I noticed that the holes in the firewall are pre-drilled for the supplied engine...

RE: KMP / YT FW-190 Build Thread

RE: KMP / YT FW-190 Build Thread

I think I have decided on the DLE-30, but am wondering if anyone has tried the RCGF 26cc and had any luck. It will be a couple of weeks before I can start the build, and the snow should be here by...

RE: KMP / YT FW-190 Build Thread

Thanks Bigtim,

I took a look at those pictures and it looked good. I had thought about the Aerovate, but it appears from other posts and pics that you need to cut a larger hole for the angled...

RE: KMP / YT FW-190 Build Thread

Gents,

It took some time but I have read this entire thread (almost). This is my first gasser, and it appears that the DLE 30 is the way to go. I have also considered the aerovate 26cc that ESM...
