mail order

Has anyone here ever ordered from a place called OEMship? They sell many different electronic items, and some r/c items also. Some of their prices seem too low, indicating a scammer.

RE: Top Flite Staggerwing

This is why we build, instead of buying BARF'S. The builder controls the outcome. Also please do not call assembing a Barf,as building a kit or plans.

D.L. Aeromodelers

Anyone know what happened to D.L. Aero modelers from Canada? I have one of their Cyclone Jets, and need some parts. Guess I will need to manufacture my own.

RE: convert a drawing to dwg

Wow, I feel stupid as dirt. lol I just tried to import a raster file of a Cessna 177 Cardinal into ZW Cad, and it worked really good. I traced out some bulkheads, and then used copy to remove them...

RE: convert a drawing to dwg

RE: convert a drawing to dwg

That is mostly what I found, and have had to redraw the entire 3-view. I just discovered another way that is easier, and more accurate. I do not need to guess where the lines might go.I printed the...

convert a drawing to dwg

How to convert a scale 3-view from jpeg, pdf etc into DWG? It almost always ends up disintigrating or looking very rough for sure. Sometimes it is so bad you cannot tell what it is and then sometimes...

Old kit or plans wanted

I'm looking for plans, or complete kit for a Mini-Flite BT trainer, from the early seventies. It was a 3-CHannel trainer of very simple and advanced construction for the day. Let me know if you can...

RE: Aerobatic airfoils

Yes, I had those kind of things happen to me way back when I first started flying r/c. Itoo learned how to handle it and when it was not good to fly. THe old Byron Christian Eagle is one of those...

RE: Modern Airfoil for 28% plus... Extreme Aerobats

I would like to add to the discussion about airfoils and that would be the leading edge. A sharp leading edge will stall more sharply than a more blunt and round leading edge. However the really...

RE: Aerobatic airfoils

Thanks I will look into it . Ido like good snaps, but have had models that were nearly impossible to fly, because of unpredictable snaps. Unlike a full size aircraft where you have an airspeed...

RE: Aerobatic airfoils

Hello

Please tell me about your plans. Are they from YA or some other source. Myself , Ihave built several jets from kits, and have had good luck with the Dynamax. If you are having trouble with...

RE: Choosing best airfoil?

I also fly ducted fans, and the nelson airfoil on the topwould be my choice, as it has a blunter leading edge, and the camber on the bottom looks like it would produce better aerobatics. I am...

RE: Aerobatic airfoils

Personally If I had plans for a "Yellow Aircraft Starfire?", I would not be concerned about the airfoil. It will work fine. I'm quite sure the designer knew what was a good airfoil for the job.

RE: Aerobatic airfoils

No problem, I do not mind you cutting in. I would like to ask you this ,and that is why you do not want to use the airfoil that is on the plan? Are you refering to an actual building plan or a 3-view?

RE: Aerobatic airfoils

I have two drawings that I am working on in cad, a scale extra sc, and a scale cap 232. The goal is to use the scale outline, and not *******ize it by enlarging the wings, stab, or rudder. I would...

RE: Jan Hermkens B17

Balsa Ply wood, is just what it says. You can easily make by using balsa crossgrain, and glueing with epoxy. Much lighter and stronger than lite ply. I have never checked to see if anyone has it...

RE: What does this mean 80/10 balsa

That makes sense, as it is for stick built tail feathers. Why not simply put it down as millimeters if that is what you are working with? Well, I do not like the metric system much so I will convert...
