A couple months old but saw this and thought I'd offer my two cents....

What Lou described is exactly what we experienced on my dad's Torpedo .29 that he's got on a Ringmaster. The tip weight...

As I was digging through my plans collection I found this photocopy I made from a book years ago of the generically named "Control Line Stunter". I also photocopied the pages that had the plans on...

RE: What to do with a crashed electric heli.....

Thanks for the compliments. Yeah, the right wing is a bit warped. I'm going to try and iron it out. Can't say the wing structure is really that stiff. That's what I get for just making it up as I...

RE: What to do with a crashed electric heli.....

Latest pic.... A few areas didn't turn out as good as I wanted. And the more I look at it, the more I think I scaled the turtledeck wrong. I think it's too tall. Oh well, good enough for me. I...

RE: What to do with a crashed electric heli.....

Nah, that goes against the whole scavenging philosophy of the project. ;) not even using a folding prop, just have a few different APC's I'm going to try. 6x2 and 6x3 to start. direct drive 370...

RE: Super Chipmunk scale subjects

Cool Chad, thanks! Pic #3 looks like the plane the HoB 36" chipmunk was modeled after on their box. That design and the last one you posted look great.

Super Chipmunk scale subjects

I'm getting back into flying after a little hiatus, wanting to get another Super Chipmunk. I flew an Ohio R/C Pepsi Chipmunk for a few years, absolute favorite airplane I've flown! I'd like to...

RE: Ziroli Mini-Sukhoi... first 1/2A R/C

Finally did what I should have done after pulling the motor from the box.... take it completely apart and clean it. In addition to the damaged needle valve O-ring there was no o-ring at all on the...

RE: Ziroli Mini-Sukhoi... first 1/2A R/C

Update.... i pulled the needle valve and throttle body apart on the TT.... the o-ring around the needle had a small piece missing. It wasn't torn, but there was an obvious chunk gone, the o-ring was...

RE: Ziroli Mini-Sukhoi... first 1/2A R/C

Only read good things about those norvel .074's, you just don't see many for sale. Agreed, 16K on a 6x3 is a little less than I expected. I'm using fresh sig 1/2 fuel. If I watch the fuel line I...

RE: Ziroli Mini-Sukhoi... first 1/2A R/C

I'm sure the OS would be a better option, no doubt the OS's run better than some of the stuff I've been buying lately... kind of like comparing a rolex to a timex, IMO. Not sure how heavy the OS is...

RE: Ziroli Mini-Sukhoi... first 1/2A R/C

Well I forgot to take pictures, but it did fly this morning! I was surprised and how well mannered it was for such a small plane. A little touchy on the controls but not bad at all. And slows down...

RE: Ziroli Mini-Sukhoi... first 1/2A R/C

Thanks! Not expecting a stellar vertical with the GP07. From the size of the control surfaces it looks like it's going to be touchy on the controls. Flight report to come tomorrow....

Ziroli Mini-Sukhoi... first 1/2A R/C

Finally finished my Ziroli Mini Sukhoi. Scratch built from the MAN pullout plan that came out back in '94 or so. Unfolded it to look at it so many times that all the creases had all but given out...

RE: AP Wasp .061 trouble

There doesn't seem to be a lot of sideplay in the crank, at least not that i can easily see or feel. I know that when the motor is running the crank is pulled forward, so I wouldn't think the...

AP Wasp .061 trouble

So yes, I bought an AP .061, and yes I got what I paid for.... and I will likely find a Norvel to put on the plane but would still like to narrow down the issue with the Wasp. By the way it's going...
