RE: buying a used xxl

With the chunky bearings id just pickup a new engine. You can replace the bearings though with some good Bocas for about 40.00. The get a piston and sleeve . still save you some money to rebuild it...

RE: ofna jammin x1 cr pro 1/8 buggy kit?s

I highly suggest not running a .28 if you plan to race. Fuel consumption will be a huge problem in long mains or even 10min heats. The game in racing isn't at all about power. You need to drive the...

RE: ofna jammin x1 cr pro 1/8 buggy kit?s

I wont run an STS man Im sorry. STS are 130.00 bux new and work about 50.00 to 60.00 used. This is why I say keep it for a practice or backup mill

RE: buying a used xxl

From your latest description about the score on the piston and mud in the engine im going to say the engine is dusted now.
It takes very little to ruin a micro engine azt the rpm they run at.

RE: ofna jammin x1 cr pro 1/8 buggy kit?s

RE: GO 3PORT TURBO .21

If racing the B6 might be a better option. It's less thirsty then the b5 and with less aggresive port timing it will likely be easier to drive, but your looking at another 100.00 from the engine your...

RE: Apology owed......

I know one thing if Redacat was smart he would be head of design. He did a mighty fine job with the Losi sprint car :). Redcat can't do chit as they need him, next think redcat never shows it's face...

RE: Losi 454 Engine: What's the Verdict?

Plain and simple too rich will also give you more heat. I been doing this a very long time and have seen it many times. You talk like this is a Ringed aircooled engine...IT ISNOT. Totally different...

RE: engine

I would not even try to put a bigblock in the volcano. You will be breaking that transmission constently umong other things. Stick with an .18

RE: Losi 454 Engine: What's the Verdict?

Just for the record, the richer an engine runs does not by ANYMEANSmean cooler running. Too rich can cause excessive heat aswell. One reason fuels with less oil content will run cooler. IE the...

RE: Losi 454 Engine: What's the Verdict?

If you look at the engines I run in my profile they are VERY expensive. I would never compromise my engines on shoty breakin. When I raced for Novarossi and T/L this is the exact technique that was...

RE: Losi 454 Engine: What's the Verdict?

On top of that the conrod doesnt want full rpm runs with a tight sleeve. People dont realize how hard breakin is on the rod. I replace mine after breakin on every engine. Full rpm passes will scar...

RE: Losi 454 Engine: What's the Verdict?

Patience is the name of the game!! 8-10 tanks is very little time and breakin is still alot of fun. Heat cycle is by far the best method to break in an ABC/ABN engine

RE: Losi Spin Start

He will want to use a drill and use either the AE or losi Bit for the losi engine. Associated and Losi use the same HEX, but there will be no issue fitting it in the savage.

Im assuming he's using...
