noticed while cleaning dents in diff casing

I have just noticed while cleaning my MT 2 dents in diff casing.
biggest one about 10mm long and 3mm deep.
question is does it need to be changed?(doesnt seem to affect truck)

the motor was a stock hb/df motor with no caps.
So putting caps on will prevent me from doin this again?When it fried esc. tail rotor was spinning very fast for acouple of seconds,
this was anew...

i fried my tail motor on hb/df,
so i put spare on without capacitor it promptly fried my gws esc which is also connected to my csm hlg 200 gyro.
have i killed gyro as well as speedcontroller?...
