RE: Caldera SC 10E

Im thinking about converting my Caldera 10e to the SC version. What do you think, just a bumper, tires/wheel, and body, is that all it takes?

I'd also like to hear if others have run the 10sc...

We've got a small local track which I'm thinking about...

RE: 8e turnbuckle size?

ya, i initially bought a 4mm wrench (cause they called the turnbuckles 4mm ones), but soon found out that it actually isn't. I could do as you suggest and file the 4mm wrench to fit.

RE: 8e turnbuckle size?

We don't have Menards in canada, and HD didn't have the mini-size. I have been looking online, but can only find singles for a reasonable price. I've found sets, but once you add the shipping costs...

RE: 8e turnbuckle size?

That makes total sense now.....................I was looking for a similar set of wrenches, but I can't find a set for a reasonable price.

RE: ESC Programming

As far as I know, you don't need the LCD programmer for the 80A ESc. I use the LED one on my aftershock 8e. You just don't get the USB update functionality.

8e turnbuckle size?

Ok, I have a Caldera 10e and aftershock 8e which use the same turnbuckles. I thought they were 4mm, so I bought a 4mm turnbuckle wrench, but it appears to small. Is it just my wrench that appears...

aftershock 8e shock oil wt.

I find the aftershock 8e shocks to have too little rebound (won't return the truck to a nice sitting position). I understand that I could try changing the shock oil wt., but does anyone know what...

RE: Earthquake 8e motor wiring

Just put the yellow to yellow, and it doesn't mater for the others. It will just switch direction of the motor and your transmitter has a switch to take care of that.

RE: My Aftershock 8E Build thread.

Those are some good observations. I've noticed the same things, but most are easy fixes. Throw up some pics with your new wheels/tires when you have them mounted. i think I'm gonna order a proline...

RE: My Aftershock 8E Build thread.

OK, sounds like you are having better luck with the body than I did. I hope it stands up to your bashing/racing.

Ya, the stock tires suck, I'm looking at the proline gladiators, and will probably...

RE: My Aftershock 8E Build thread.

Nice detail with the pics................Have you run/raced with that aftershock body? If so, i bet it won't last long. I've added washers to the body mounts, but find that the body is still a very...

RE: Twister xtg Pro problems.

Is there a manufacturers name on the ESC? If it's like the other hobbywing Ezrun, then it's programmable. I would look for any indication of manufacturer/model # on the ESC and try googling that.

RE: aftershock 8e shocks

Ok thanks guys, I'll check those numbers out. I don't think the plastic part screws onto the shaft, looks to be molded on. Anyhow, it appears that one would need to purchase the entire shock set.

Keep them affordable, and the most "bang for your buck", and you will get people interested in them.   I'm just getting back into the hobby after 20 or so years, and when i was doing my research on...

RE: Redcat needs a PRO driver to race their trucks...

Yup, with the cost of sponsoring and marketing, has to be recouped somewhere, and the easiest is to jump each vehicle by x dollars. I agree with promoting the redcat name at local events, but are...
