RE: How reliable is the pullstart on a LRP .28?

What kind of fuel are you running? Fuel with more oil will make OWBs slip more. Traxxas fuel is one to stay away from.

I just got a Savage X SS, but in all my past RC cars O'donnel has worked...

RE: Savage 4.6 RTR help - engine issues in break in

Yeah, that's what I meant. I've done it before with other stuff, such as the 1/64 rat-shack "zipzaps" when they came out... when I was about 15. I used a wall power supply for a portable CD player...

RE: Savage 4.6 RTR help - engine issues in break in

Alright thanks for the help guys, The batteries are 1800mah Nicads, I believe Peak Performance or something like that, they're blue.

How many amps should the Roto-start pull? I'd like to make a...

Savage 4.6 RTR help - engine issues in break in

So I bought my fiance a Savage 4.6 RTR as I figured she'd have some fun with it, well it's a total pain in the arse.

The roto-start is simply terrible, it won't work long enough to get the...

RE: hyper 7 screws

metric. You should need a 1.5, 2.0, 2.5, and 3.0mm hex wrenches for nearly everything.

RE: Receiver Battery - How long to Run?

I run my 5 cell 1200mah pack for the entire race day with some high torque servos and never have a problem. I'll usually run about 12-15 tanks throughout the day with a 200oz-in airtronics 358 servo...

Who's bought an RC for their significant other?

So yesterday after I got done breaking in my GO 5 port on my Hyper 8, I went with my g/f to screw around at a local park with it. I of course let her have a go at it and she thought it was really...

RE: Hyper 7 Set up for slipery surface ??

You'll want to thicken up your middle and rear diff fluids, probably moreso the middle than rear.

As a starting point I'd try 7000/10000/4000 or so.

Is it dusty as in dust on a concrete...

RE: Official Hyper 8 Thread

With my new job I can finally afford to get my H8 up and running again. Never let your racing friends experiment with your engine;)

So a 5p GO engine is on the way:D

RE: Hyper 8 Suspension Mods?????

Agreed.

When it comes to suspension just experiement with springs, oils, and every suspension adjustment. No part will win you races... you'll have to do that yourself.

RE: hyper .21 ?

Pull the old o-ring off, go to an auto parts store or Home Depot/Lowes etc and match one up.

RE: Pillow ball or C hub, What is better?

Suspension isn't 100% modeled after real cars...

I mean do you run 2-3 degrees of toe OUT in the frint and like 3 degrees of toe IN in the rear of a real vehicle?

I'd say buy PBS if you...

RE: Glow plug for GO 21 7 PORT??????????????

Gotta use an OS #8 plug. Compare the plug length of the stock GO plug to others, it's the same size as the OS plugs.

RE: Wheres the long term fun in bashing?

Last year I got a Hyper 8 and got into the race-only kind of mentality because I didn't want to break stuff on my buggy and frankly racing at a club level is much more fun that bashing by yourself.

RE: WANKEL ENGINE ON 1/8 RACER!!!!

Cool from an engineering standpoint. Impractical for anything else IMO.

Rotaries aren't exactly the most reliable cars ever made... if you've ever been around any RX7 enthusiasts you'd know they...

RE: Just ran my new Ravager But sometinng is messed up....

Let it cool down completely and give it another shot... you may be experiencing "vapor lock" when the carb gets heat-soaked and basically vaporizes the fuel inside(and so it just kind of sits there...

RE: clutch bell bearings

In regards to CB play, I aim for as little as possible while still being able to move it just a LITTLE bit.

I'll stack CB spacers one at a time until when I put the screw on, the CB doesn't move...

RE: clutch bell bearings

LOL good luck on getting bearings to last over a year(assuming you run your car on a regular basis).

I've had good luck with getting the cheap bearings and blowing them free of all grease. The...

RE: ofna 9.5 violator

I'd say get a Hyper 7 PBS. Very strong, has a powerful .21 8-port engine, and potential for at least club racing.

Don't get too hung up on HP ratings of anything, especially RTR kits. Just get...

RE: Pillow ball or C hub, What is better?

I went from a Hyper 7 PBS(pivot ball suspension) to a Hyper 8(C-hub).

Now I can't directly compare them since there are other things different between Hyper 7 and 8, but as far as maintenance...
