Had a friend look over the Twinsyn. Suggested that the IC was installed the wrong way.[X(]Reversed the IC, now appears all ok:D

Just started to install the v2 in a B25. With just the Twinsyn connected to my receiver and battery, the U2 component on the circuit board is very hot. Is this normal?

Yes the 3" standoff will certainly benefit the CofG. The spinner is located well forward on the full size and to my eye looks ok.
With regard vibration, i have strenghtened the firewall...

I'am using 2.5" standoffs. This gives a 162mm firewall to spinner. I advise caution with the CofG. The manual recommendation was too far aft for comfort. Finalised at 7.9". However...
