RE: When to stop flying on LiPos ?

The LiPo battery usage in a model is a problem that has been solved for me by converting to the Jeti Duplex system, which gives audible warnings when the remaining battery capacity reaches it's set...

RE: Balsa USA 1/4th scale Nieuport 28

The Nieuport 28 is modelled on the aircraft flown by Jimmy Meissner, as depicted on the rear cover of the Windsock International mag (vol 17 No.3).

I chose that one as it only has one M/G fitted...

RE: Balsa USA 1/4th scale Nieuport 28

As papermache says - easy build and a great flying model. Wing section is not scale though - should be undercambered.

Mine is leccy powered.

RE: has anyone built polikarpov i-152

It is covered in Polyspan and vinyl matt paint.

The wings are detachable, but it fits in my small estate car assembled which is a bonus.

The gull wing biplane is the Polikarpov I-153 and...

RE: has anyone built polikarpov i-152

Yes - I built the Polikarpov from that plan some time ago and still fly the model now and again.
Mine is electric powered and it flies really well. I was a bit dubious about it's stability due to...

RE: Klemm L 25 VS. De Havilland DH 94

I have built 2 Klemms over the years. The first was for i.c. and the second for electric.

Both were great flyers.

As stated above, the Moth Minor is a completely different aircraft.

RE: Zlin 526

I found the Zlin to handle well on take off and landing - very little tendency to swing or nose over - flies like a big trainer.

Haven't managed to get her to spin yet though - maybe due to the...

RE: Zlin 526

A.U.W. is around 10lbs.

The Zlin has a narrow nose as you know, and an electric motor is easy to install. Also there is plenty space for batteries.

You can test fly the model before...

The retracts I used were from Century, but the torque liks face forward which is not to...
