I'll need to invest a bit in a production...

RE: Fliton Quiet Storm build

Hello Nickolas,

RE: Fliton Quiet Storm build

Nickolas,

I was not aware there are different versions.

I am also not sure how the spar could be strengthened to stop the failure I experienced - it failed inside the wing, where the spar...

RE: Capiche 140

Luke,

Sounds to me line you need to 'carefully' remove the spring clip and bend the end downwards, so that it exerts a greater clamping force on the needle valve. It may be that you got a doggy...

RE: Capiche 140

Luke,

Never experienced those problems with either of my 160s - very strange. I take it the spring clip is on the needle valve and also the o rings?

Out of interest, which of the props did...

RE: Capiche 140

Shahid,

The header tank draws fuel in through the top, from a main tank. This means that the header tank is always full, as the main tank drains. The 'head' of fuel within the header tank will...

RE: Capiche 140

Luke,

I have header tanks positioned both infront of and by the side of the main tank.

Both of these approaches work fine, but I do think that positioning the tanks side by side over the...

If you get any foreign objects inside...

RE: Capiche 140

No way I would use a wooden prop. I have a stack of the APC variety here and you are welcome to borrow a few.

Cool power is not such a good idea - most of the pattern boys use it...

RE: Capiche 140

Luke,

For this model and your style of flying I would go with:

* APC 18x8W for running in, then use a 19x8W.

* 30% Fuel - you need to use a special mix that has the right oil content...

RE: Capiche 140

Dave,

As the Barron says, I think the 16.5x8w is too small - like trying to stir a big mug of tea with a cocktail stick!
