RE: O.S. and FAI fuel

I feel like gloating now. Tammies in Portland, Oregon sells 10% Omega for 10.99 a gallon even if you buy only one gallon. You never have to worry about old fuel with these guys. I always call...

Bearing Break-in

A flyer in my club recently changed the crankshaft bearings in his YS 91. I was interested in his progress as I helped him diagnose the bearing problem in the first place. He stated that he was...

RE: Thunder Tiger 46 Pro- engine problems

Use an APC 12.25 X 3.75 as your 3D prop for the TT 46 Pro in a Magic and balance it. Also, mount your motor so the muffler exits between the landing gear. This will lower the carb height and draw...

RE: videos

I've updated my real player and others. They work fine elsewhere. I get a screen full of machine language text when I click on a video link here. What could be the problem?

RE: Noise Reduction Forum

The clubhouse is fine with me. I didn't know if a regular venue had been set up. Thanks for a great RC site that gets it done, day after day.

Noise Reduction Forum

The noise issue is becoming the main issue at my local field. A forum dealing exclusively with noise and noise reduction that includes a standardized method for measuring dB levels would be very...

RE: Reliable 60 size 2-stroke recommendation

Compared to other engines at the club, what's the relative noise level of the TH .75 using the stock muffler? Our club is getting very noise conscious and I don't want to buy another muffler to get...

RE: Antifreeze cleaning method

Jess, I believe everyone on RCU knows AF is poisonous. I was trying to help someone clean their motor. I thought my recomendation in handling AF reflected that. Let no disclaimer be left unsaid.

RE: OS 46FX cleaning

It's called varnish and a little is probably good to protect your motor on a lean run. Your fuel is probably fine if it is a known respected brand. Clean the entire motor using the antifreeze...

RE: Antifreeze cleaning method

I do it outside on my Coleman stove. Straight antifreeze hot enough to see some steam but not boiling. Probably about 180-200 degrees F. Do not put the carb assembly or any nonmetalic gaskets in...

RE: Model Tech Magic Extra 300...

I use a TT .46 Pro with APC 12.25 X 3.75 on Omega 10%. Hovers at half throttle and pulls away with ease. I've tried many props. Nothing comes close to the APC.

RE: Model Tech Magic Extra 300L 46 ARF

I'm on my second Magic Extra. I do 3D and I practice sportsman pattern with it. It's my only plane. I believe the better landing gear alone makes the Magic Extra better than the Magic. Also, it...

RE: Thunder Tiger .46 Pro Bearing Part Numbers

Sport_Pilot, seems to me if the grease runs out then how does any replacement lube from the fuel find its' way in? Maybe from crankcase pressure? There sure is a wide range of prices you can pay...

RE: Thunder Tiger .46 Pro Bearing Part Numbers

DarZeelon, thank you for your detailed information. I agree with you on why a grease packed bearing would be installed on a .46 size engine when no other manufacturers think it's necessary. I think...

Crash Master, how were you able to find those part numbers, price and availability? I can't get to first base when I try to get any information from the acehobby website.

Thunder Tiger .46 Pro Bearing Part Numbers

Does anyone know the Timken or other good manufacturer's part numbers for the ball bearings in a TT .46 Pro?
I would like to get a spare set for an emergency.

It is not like the antenna in your picture. The antenna is a loaded type about 8" long and it doesn't telescope out at all. It is a light color and it looks similar to the antenna on a CB...
