RE: What happens when your GF desides to have a nappy.

Has any body noticed the lower shock ends aren't attatched in either set of pictures?

RE: Nitro Newb needs help...but I got pics for ya

Yes that is supposed to happen. That is the difference between fixed and collective pitch helis. On a collective pitch heli the rotor rpm stays constant and changing the pitch provides lift...

RE: Whos running a throttle jocket pro

I have the regular throttle jockey but you test it in the same way. You shouldn't have to adjust the linkage or curves, but depending on your throttle curve 25% throttle may not be 25% stick. Just...

RE: Traxxas XL-1 ESC w/ Reverse

I am pretty sure you want an esc with reverse. I would not recommend traxxas or mtronics. I would look at either the Novak XRS, Airtronics BL-Racer, or the Hitec EZX-R Pro. They are all around...

RE: Oh Bugger

I burned up an MTronics esc that is rated for 8 cell and 20 turn motor using only 6 cells and a 27 turn motor.

RE: Li-poly Charger question ..

4.2 amps should be enough power but you might be able to find a computer power supply for less.

RE: Twin Motor Set-up

For brushless motors you must have one speed control for each motor. They aren't like brushed motors which you can have several in parallel or series as long as the esc can take the amps. That is...

RE: Tamiya or Deans Connector

Plus if you are completely insane hardwiring is a little lighter[sm=rolleyes.gif].

RE: Thermal Shutdown?

The ECO does have that feature in the bottom. I was thinking about water cooling it but then it died as stated above.

RE: Whats CCPM ?

I have heard the term mCCPM before so you are not insane, most people just call it mechanical mixing though. No your print isn't in green.

RE: Thermal Shutdown?

It must be an mtronics thing. I had the eco 20 like you and it did the same thing. I was only running a 27x1 motor and 6 cells. You wont like to hear this, but after the first run of doing that it...

RE: Tamiya or Deans Connector

True deans plugs fit together a little tightly, but it is even harder to get tamya plug apart when they melt from running anything hotter than a stock motor. I have deans connectors on all my motors...

RE: milling??????

Do not make it any thinner and be carefull where you cut holes out. You will weaken the chassis much more by making it thinner than you will by cutting holes out.

RE: SUPER CHARGER OR TURBOCHARGER??????

I think I know why ROAR makes them illegal, they dont really care if they work or not. You said it yourself, they spray unburnt fuel all over the track. That seems extremely safe and...

RE: Pro4 or Xray Your choice

Sure you can tune almost all the same things on the Pro4 but I find it much easier to make tuning adjustments on the xray. HPI cars in my opinion have always been a little more time consuming to...

RE: ZXX Stalling

It sounds like your idle mixture screw is set too rich, try leaning it out some. The mixture screw is much more sensitive than the high speed needle, only turn it 1/6 turn at a time.

Himax vs. Mini AC

Both the Himax 2015-4100 and the Mini AC 1215/16 seem to be about the same size, weight and power output from looking at the specs. I was wondering if anybody could recommend one over the other or...

RE: where can I get Carbon Rod from?

I've ordered from both www.acp-composites.com/acp-cat.htm and www.nyblimp.com. Had good service with both. Main difference is acp sells in 4 foot rods and nyblimp sells 3 foot rods.

RE: range check distance

That is true but a 72MHz wave is 4.17 meters long roughly. That says the ideal antenna length for 1/4 wavelength is very nearly 40 inches. The stock antenna on a hitec 8 channel is 38 inches. In...

RE: main rotor blade question

It may have partially stripped out the thread on the ball link from the rod you had to adjust, and that is why the length changed and you had to adjust it. It could still have enough thread left...

RE: Heli electronics mounted is the gyro positioning ok??(pic)

That is where I have it(the gyro) on my venture and it works fine. If you are worried about which way the gyro faces it doesn't matter, as long as it is right side up.

RE: First FFF in open field

If the engine is slow to respond you might need to lean out the low speed needle, and yes that is the one in the center of the throttle linkage. It is much more sensitive than the high speed needle...

RE: Belt Tensioner

It makes a belt that is too loose not skip on the pulley, but if your belt is not skipping then you don't need one.

RE: Venture CCPM Linkages/ level swash

For servo A I measured 1.598in. For servo link B I measured 1.134in. For servo C I measured .380in. I included a pic to make sure I/you measure from the right spot so the lengths will be accurate....
