Will this motor work?

I have a E-Flite BL50 525Kv from a Carbon Z cub and a 80 amp esc and would like to use it in a 3D plane. I was looking at https://extremeflightrc.com/60-Extra-300-EXP-V2-OrangeBlueWhite_p_5595.html....

RE: SD 10G or what?

Well I set up my Katana with the 10G. Everything was easy to find and easy to set. I think it is easier than my 9C. I have the reciever plugged into a Smartfly Power expander pro. With 9 servos that...

RE: SD 10G or what?

I just am getting back into the hobby. I just bought a 10G to replace my 9c. I looked at the 10c but after looking at the specs and price, it looks like the 10G is the obvious choice. I almost wanted...

RE: DA 100 or 120?

Forgot to mention the MTW 75 cans and the 90mm drop headers and canister mounts. The people at Desert Aircraft were very helpful.

RE: DA 100 or 120?

I got the engine installed. Had to relocate receivers, regulators, and batteries due the weight difference. The COG is .75'' behind the recommended point. So it balances at the forward edge of the...

RE: DA 100 or 120?

I need quiet power. Maybe tuned pipes and a three blade prop would be the best way to keep it quiet. Question is what header length, what 3 blade prop and which pipes?

RE: DA 100 or 120?

Well I am going with the DA 120. Tuned pipes or canisters? The quieter the better. I had a tuned pipe on the DA50, very quiet. What prop? I was swinging a 27 x 10 or a 28 x 10 with the 3w 106.

RE: Extreme Flight 87" Yak 54 - Build & Fly

Its no big deal to straighten it out. I have been flying mine all summer and it is still parallel with the wing tube! Just tweak it in the direction in needs to go, then reshrink the covering, easy!...

RE: Extreme Flight 87" Yak 54 - Build & Fly

Maudib, since you have both to compare(you lucky dog) I'm sure you are right about the design. As far as what planes become available when....we will have to wait and see.

RE: Extreme Flight 87" Yak 54 - Build & Fly

I got to see Quique Sominzini fly his 102'' Yak this weekend. The construction looked very much like my 87'' EF Yak. So much that I think they are the same design.
Maybe the reason Chris can't get...

RE: Extreme Flight 87" Yak 54 - Build & Fly

The KS 1060 tuned pipe with the solid header pipe is the way I went. I am very happy with this set up on the DA 50. The plane came in at a AUW of 16lbs 3oz.
I have about three gallons through it...
