Do all the above mentioned and also take a hair dryer to it and pre-warm the motor. It will be easier to pull and will start quicker.

In my experience a single speed is best for a nitro beginer hobbiest. They are easier to maintain and tune.

They problem with a lot of two speeds is 1, ) the motor has to be tuned spot on for it...

These are meant for a bit of everything. You can bash them, race them, and pretty much drive them without issue on any terrain.

There is a video on youtube of a guy doing a NIMH speed test and a Lipo Speed test on his Caldera 10E Stock it was like 19MPH, Lipo was 42MPH or so. I looked for the video but I could not find it....

Yep, I already have a program card I purchased from Redcatracingshop.com a while back. I am going to change some setting in it when it is a little nicer out and the truck can acutally be used.

Just put a glow plug in the end of your glow ignitor and see if it lights up. If it does your glow plug is good and so is your ignitor.

I just go to the hardware store and buy hardened screws for mine. If I can't find them I usually just order like a pack of 10 or however they come from a Redcat Dealer.

But those run times are based on my shredder which is the same thing on an extended chassis.

I have not heard of a real problem with the radio's like this. Did you try to re-bind the TX/RX? That may take care of it. If it doesn't I would guess you have a bad RX. I would not even replace it...

Stock runtime will only be 12 - 15 minutes depending on driving style. With dual 5800's you should see a 25 min + run time.
