long time no update... I burned out the 2040 motor, it never really seemed to be the right size for this car... too much torque for the rear diff...

so I updated to KB20-30-18S 5200kv Brushless...

so the bush in the stator (where the drive shaft fits after the prop) was completely worn out, as in, MASSIVE vibrations, so much so that I broke a blade on the impeller!! LOL

I've now glued...

dog bones are the same length in the rear, so I might get lucky... if not, and the diff is wider, there are some 50mm dog bones for the front end of the new model...

I got the car back on the road yesterday, but the motor overheated and I have melted wires... not sure why, coz it should all be easy work...

I found a new little piece jet boating goodness 50 meters from my new place... Massive sand flats on incoming or outgoing tides = heaps of fun!

Hey mate,

I'd say that your setup is not very efficient on 3S.
These jet pumps can't run at much more than 28K RPM, and even that is a stretch if the motor doesn't have enough torque...

I think the boats will run OK, but I'm concerned that air will be a problem, due to turbulence... Only trial will show...

So, over night, the plastic hardened... GREAT! It's a bit "wonky" where it melted, one hull (of course the old one...)...

ahhhh $h.... I used shoe glue on the boat, thinking it was the ducks nuts... ehm, no! Two hulls are sitting in the living room melting away... I pray that the plastic will harden up...

got some silicone to sort out the leak at the rudder. When pulling it apart, I noticed the screws were a bit loose... After 2 days, the silicone still hasn't cured [:-]
anywho, I'm going to take it...
