I started in heli's also.
One suggestion......
Complete the warbird to about 95%.
Learn to fly the trainer and then complete the giant scale.
They do fly different.

I guess I will back it down but I kind of like it to be a little more aggressive on high rate.
I don't have much 3D control at slower speeds with much less?

What makes the plane snap?
I have an Extra 300XS and hardly any up elevator in a climb... she snaps over.
I like to do vertical climbs, flip it around 180 degrees and pull the elevator to loop it...

Okay...
I am lost again
The back plate for the spinner fits over the shaft, then the prop, then the new spinner bolt.
Won't the three small bolts in the picture of the FTL hit the back plate?

How do you attach a spinner to this ?
My large glow stuff had a nut that screwed onto the shaft with a single hole for the prop. The spinner screwed into that...

I took it to the field today. It started good and runs better. I think I am just not tuning it the best. I don't have a ton of time on the large glow engines. It ran about 220 degrees and had a good...

Sounds like I am close.
This is an older motor so I am sure it is broke in.
I am reworking the paint on the cowl due to some flaking.

I have the Perry pump and 5% in it now. (large line,clunk and filter)
Seems to transition stronger than before but still slightly out of tune at about 35% throttle. (this is the perfect position...

No luck on last nights try.....
It went lean after about 3 minutes and I had a dead stick. Good thing is I was in position and it stopped about 8 feet from me.

Which gasser should I be looking...

Some more info....
My LHS doesn't have any pumps so I will have to order. They told me to try and plug one outlet on the pitts, run 16% oil with 5% nitro.
I tried adding about 3 oz of 20% nitro...
