here is my solution for dampers since I am such a cheap@$$!!

I bought some DuBro large blue silicon fuel tubing and I am using it in the beast. Better dampers than the HK ones, cheaper than KBDD....

Eh,

You only need to be competent in all orientations and perfectly synchronise your cyclic with the speed of the rotation of the heli. Then theres the pich control that needs to be perfect too.

The motor is attatched to the booms with some nice bolts, but I was going to attach the props to the motor bell with zipties.

I would swap the hyperion esc for a plush or some HK 40A one.

Also the GA-250 performs like a more expensive gyro too, I dislike the HK401b.

Then, use the money saved...

@mnem Make sure you order a 3.5mm pinion gear to go with it! The "normal" size pinion is usually 3.175 or 1/8 inch. Sadly, HK don't sell these 3.5mm pinion gears, so you need to find one elsewhere. I...

Most (including me) use the Turnigy Plush 40A or variants of that ESC (HobbyWing, etc) but many people have also used the Hobbyking YEP45A ESC with success. I can't comment on that one personally...
