RE: Which first EDF Jet say around 90mm..??

Well pretty much anything that you buy from Banana Hobbies, or Nitroplane you will likely need to repower it (upgrade the ESC, Fan, and motor). I have a handful of different models from both places...

RE: Basic EDF Set-Up Question

If there arent plywood planks to screw your EDF unit into place I highly recommend using silicone to "glue" it in place.  Just regular old clear or white shower silicone works great. It does a few...

RE: exceed r/c 70 mm mig 15

I know you said other than another MIG. But you can just buy that aircraft in kit form. It is a wonderful little EDF. However because of the elevation that I fly from (near 5000FT) I find that the...

RE: Hobby King 70mm F-86 and Banana Hobby Mig15

Mine is the same way on my F 86. My nose gear retract doesnt match the mains and is much slower. When I hit the gear lever the mains are fully retracted right about the time the nose gear is half...

RE: Hobby King 70mm F-86 and Banana Hobby Mig15

Well Phil, depending on how long the grass is you should have no issues with the grass except for maybe longer take off roll outs. But the wheels are pretty big so I dont think you should have to...

RE: Hobby King 70mm F-86 and Banana Hobby Mig15

So it sounds like your running the factory motor out of the F 86 in the Change Sun fan. If this is indeed true, when you can afford to do so get yourself a 3000 through 3200KV motor. I recommend the...

RE: Hobby King 70mm F-86 and Banana Hobby Mig15

What size KV motor are you running with the Change Sun fan. You can run up to a 3400KV motor with that fan. But remember that the higher the KV you run the larger the ESC your going to require to...

RE: Electric Jets

RE: I Won This Plane At RCX Long Beach

I dont know if your gonna need an additional $1700 to get it flying. You will definately need a min of a 4 channel TX RX system in either FM or 2.4ghz. You can get a reasonably priced one from Futaba...

RE: 70mm Banana Hobby Mig 15

Well sadly my Mig 15 is out of commision. I had my very first Mid Air Collision, Monday morning. I was able to land it however, and I could possibly fix it. But it has been my experience (the little...

RE: 70mm Banana Hobby Mig 15

Well If you have the same Banana Hobby Mig 15 that I have, your EDF unit is glued into place. The only way to get it out is to pry it out. It takes a little bit of time. Grab the fan and gently work...

RE: 70mm Banana Hobby Mig 15

So what is a good storage voltage to keep a 14.8 LIPO battery stored at for long term storage. Or better yet how long can you keep a Lipo battery stored at capacity before it starts to fail?

RE: 70mm Banana Hobby Mig 15

Austin,
A larger ESC may help a very little bit. But what you really need is to replace that EDF unit, the motor, and the ESC, as they are pretty much useless, at elevations much above sea level....

RE: 70mm Banana Hobby Mig 15

Flew the Mig today with the CS 10 blade fan, less the thrust tube. Got airborne in less than 100 ft with about 3/4 throttle. I was pretty impressed. But it was seriously lacking in speed. And the...

RE: 70mm Banana Hobby Mig 15

Holy Crap that thing is fast. Currently NONE of my edf aircraft will ever fly that fast. For that matter the fastest thing I have is a Park Zone Habu, and it probably only runs at maybe 85 0r 90mph.

RE: Hobby King 70mm F-86 and Banana Hobby Mig15
