Bruce, I figured it out. In AutoCAD, I used the spline tool just like you mentioned in your post. Basically, I'm in the process of tracing some Stinson Reliant Plans that I found on the internet...

When you say curve tool, what are you referring to in AutoCAD? You're not talking about the arc tool are you?

I've got some plans for a SR6 that I'm trying to get into AutoCad. I definately want it to be over 40 sized. I'm thinking around 60 sized to start with.

Yep, simply go to the Insert menu and select raster image, browse for the image file and then place it in the drawing. I then add a new layer and change the color to something that I can see better...

I've been working on this all night tonight and I just realized that the individual scans are not consistent in size. So, I'm going to look for something a little easier to tackle...

Any suggestions on tracing arcs? Is there a multi-line tool for an arc? I messed with some arcs last night, but didn't get very far.
