Digging a little deeper into this mystery, I fould the old box of covering..and guess what...it WAS Solartex that was used so far.
About a 1/3 of red left, but 4 rolls of Solartex Blue...

Ok...So I'm thinking of doing the Pica Waco 1/5 in all Koverall. My Dad started the Waco by covering the tail with something I do not know what is!

Yea! Those planes were "Right on the money".
Some of my Dad's old planes that were built in the 60's with ambroid are still strong as hell!
The wood will break before the joint at the ambroid....

A trip to my local 45 year old hobby shop netted only a "We can no longer get it....I'd try Elmer's Professional Wood glue!"

Pica Waco YMF

Hello All!
Here's a pic of my Dad's 1/2 built Pica Waco. We flew together for years. I lost him 2 years ago. Going thru the garage I found his Waco.
I'd like to finish it and fly it in his memory....
