RE: Brushless E-Revo Thread

If you're running the stock tie links I would suggest giving the aluminum ones a shot, or Lunsford. I think the alloy of steel used in those tie links isn't up to snuff. I've had great luck with the...

RE: sct sidewinder 3800kv combo lipo question....

That's a 1/10th scale SCT motor, 1/10 scale monster trucks really need 1/8 scale power systems. I would recommend the Mamba Monster setup for an e-maxx if you want Castle. Tekin RX8 is another good...

RE: Castle-Reedy question

You wouldn't change the connectors on the ESC that will unnecessarily toss your warranty out the window. It would be much easier to install the proper size male connectors on the motor leads. Or if...

RE: salvageable transmission or is it shot?

I had a rock jam up in the brake disk on my T-Maxx when it was running almost a decade ago, it brought the driveline to a dead halt.

RE: Brushless E-Revo Thread

Well after exploding another ring gear set I got my truck repaired after Thanksgiving.<div>
</div><div>It does make a weird noise when it comes out of a wheely like gears popping past each other but...

RE: Brushless E-Revo Thread

Installing the HPP stuff today, the motor brace wasn't quite as smooth as I was hoping when adjusting pitch. However the mount is rock solid. The wheel hubs so far are amazing. No shims in the RPM...

RE: Brushless E-Revo Thread

If I remember correctly I had drank a couple beers or hard ciders before I ordered those because I feel particularly dumb right now having completely forgotten about Google Translate.<div>...

RE: Brushless E-Revo Thread

At the exchange rate I hit it was about $102. (Might be worth it to keep an eye on exchange rates when you're thinking about purchasing.)<div>

RE: Brushless E-Revo Thread

Well it looks like I missed my HPP package today. I'll have to pick it up from the post after work at 10am.

RE: Brushless E-Revo Thread

Some good news again guys. The HPP parts (hubs and Motor brace) should be here any day now from the Motherland. I got an e-mail last night from a vendor saying my order for telemetry sensors has...

RE: Vantage Racing - Carbon Fiber A-Arms (Revo)

I'm torn they would be good for handling and if you raced, but as a basher I'm not really sure I would see the advantage in them. They do look really cool, and I love some nicely formed CF parts....

RE: Brushless E-Revo Thread

I'll definitely keep an eye out if you sell it as a roller, with the amount of cash I have dumped into my Revo in Pushrods, turnbuckles and outer shafts I doubt I'll turn this truck into a slayer....

RE: Brushless E-Revo Thread

Actually I've been thinking about how I would like my E-Revo as an E-Slayer, would be a truly bad ass short course truck.<div>

RE: Brushless E-Revo Thread

I wouldn't worry too much about that the MM ESC is notoriously NOT waterproof in the least, it won't be anywhere near the water.

RE: Brushless E-Revo Thread

I ended up at the beach yesterday and I really want to take my Revo out in the sand, those big Trencher 40 series tires should do pretty well in big open sand.

RE: Brushless E-Revo Thread

I cranked up the brakes above stock, running those big Trencher 40 series the motor can lock the wheels, I'll be turning it down. <div>

RE: Brushless E-Revo Thread

Bashing around a friends house on Saturday and busted a spider gear in the front diff. It'll have to come apart later in the week. I'll also turn down the breaking a bit, I think that's what did it...

RE: Brushless E-Revo Thread

My true story is the stock servos are crap (you knew that) and that having a servo with 333Oz*In torque at a transit speed of .10 seconds is awesome.

RE: Itchy LiPo

They really should line the fiberglass with another material or use a silicone doped fiberglass cloth.

RE: Piggyback Shocks

RE: First generation stampede with a big brushless motor

I've never owned or driven a stampede but my inclination is a motor that powerful isn't going to buy you any performance over a smaller motor. My instinct is it will just end up on its lid.<div>...
