RE: Spadet trainer

It is amazing how fast you can make one of these planes especially if you've made at least one before. My first one (tricycle) took me about 3 days working leisurely, but I built my second one (a...

RE: Coroplast/Corex Purchasing Locations

I knew that the local sign makers had to be buying CORO from someone locally, so I went and asked one of them and they told me. I went there and bought a couple sheets of 4x8 4mill. I think I paid...

RE: Debonair - Taildragger???

On my Debonair taildragger I ran one wire from the servo to the rudder and a separate wire to the tail wheel. The wire going to the wheel is just below the one going to the rudder on the servo, and...

Receiver Nicad Pack 600mA

I have a couple of these that were basically new when I put them up, but I haven't charged them in two years. How long should I charged them for the first time after this length of time?

Or...

RE: Do you have your perfect plane yet?

I have mine! First and only plane I ever bought - Sig Kadet Senior ARF converted to a tail-dragger, powered by a TT-Pro 61 and controlled with a simple Hitec Laser 4.

I made 2 SPAD Debonairs 1...

RE: Debonair Landing Gear

I just used aluminum stock from Home Depot and some music wire. The music wire helps it keep its shape and affords it a little spring. I use small bolts for the axles.

RE: Debonair wing

One good thing about a SPAD is that you really have to work hard at screwing one up. You mentioned a tail-wheel linkage, well here's how I did mine. It may not be pretty but it works and works well....

RE: My first SPAD...

I had wing bolts on my spad and during an emergency landing in tall grass the wing broke off along the wing wrap. It wasn't a very hard landing and if I had stuck with the rubber-bands the wing would...

RE: Are you getting tired also?

$2500 for an ultralight? Where?

I can't make out what's in your Avatar, looks like a Great White taking a bite out of something.

RE: Coro cutter information

The coro-cutter is a nice tool. It would be nicer still, if they had a tool that would cut across the flutes as easily as this tool cuts down the flutes.

RE: About the Sig Kadet LT 40 ARF

Thanks. The Sig website and Tower Hobbies didn't mention how many servos were required. I thought it may only have throttle, elevator and rudder controls.

RE: Kit Box + Powerpanel question

I just bought a power panel from Tower Hobbies for $19.95, specifically because I wanted a corded glow igniter to use as a backup to my rechargeable glow igniter. I've charged my glow igniter the...

RE: Hobbico Top Fueler III

Good, I wasn't sure if gravity played a role in the pump's ability to perform correctly. The pump will fit better at the spot I want to install it if I can mount it upside down.

Hobbico Top Fueler III

Would there be a problem mounting the Hobbico Top Fueler MKIII upside down, as pictured below? Or does the fuel hose connectors need to be pointed down to allow fuel to drain out of the pump?

RE: Tail dragger for Kadet Senior?

Thanks, but I should give credit where credit is due and much of it goes to a friend of mine from Virginia who came up with the spring idea and design. My contribution was the Spider Wire and...
