What Bi-plane to get?

I have an GWS Tiger moth. It's cheap and light and can easly fly in a backyard.

But I feel that your looking for something a little more expensive if $250 is your budget as I think the kit is...

I have done the same, cutting the hole out to allow the lipo to fit.

And along with the other essential mods the plane flys like a dream.

I've been flying (and crashing) the e-starter of about 6 weeks now and I have a 1200 lipo and get about 10mins out of it with the 10x8, I'm about to put another in so as to get a 2S , but to start...

I have the tiger moth, which is a dream to fly.

I have the e-starter, which was a great way to learn about using 4 channels.

I was just going off the info provided by gws... have i got it wrong?

I think the manual states a max drain of 9.6v with a 1080 gws prop at 8.4...

I could be wrong I'm working off memory......

but the Lipo's have no memory, unlike the cadmium based batterys.

And the e-starter I have drains about 9amps off a 1200mah lipo cell thats higher than 2c.

As do I..

The tiger moth will last 40 mins but the e-starter will chomp through the same battery in about 10 mins if it's at full power

By the way, I played around gliding the e-starter last...

I have some lithium batteries I use in my stick which are 7.2 1050mah (about 55g) that last about 50mins.. or until my thumbs are sore. but thats running on an IPS 100 power unit.
